You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including where applicable:

5. Prescription Validity

We recommend that customers use a current and valid prescription issued by a qualified eye-care professional.

If your prescription is expired, incomplete, unclear, or cannot reasonably be verified where verification is necessary, we may contact you before processing the order.

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to manufacture your prescription eyewear accurately and safely.

6. Pupillary Distance (PD)

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate PD measurement where required.

If your PD is unavailable, unclear, or appears inconsistent with the prescription or order, we may contact you for clarification before processing the order.

Where Specsy.co offers a PD measurement service, any applicable requirements, charges, and limitations will be explained before the service is provided.

7. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

Before completing your order, you should review:

  • Frame size and colour
  • Prescription information
  • PD and other measurements
  • Lens type
  • Lens coatings
  • Quantity
  • Delivery address
  • Delivery method
  • Total price

You are responsible for correcting any errors before submitting your order.

We will provide an order confirmation after your order has been received.

An order is not considered accepted until Specsy.co confirms acceptance or begins processing the order, as applicable.

8. Order Acceptance

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable.
  • There is an obvious pricing or product-description error.
  • Prescription information is incomplete or cannot reasonably be processed.
  • We suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

All prices displayed on our website should be checked at the time of purchase.

Where applicable, prices will include VAT and other mandatory charges. Any additional delivery charges or optional costs will be shown before you complete your purchase.

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

Payment must be successfully authorised before we begin processing an order unless otherwise agreed.

We do not normally store complete payment-card details on our own systems. Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

10. Promotional Offers and Discount Codes

Promotional codes, discounts, and special offers may be subject to additional conditions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Only one promotional code may be used per order.
  • Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Promotional codes cannot be transferred unless expressly permitted.
  • Some products or services may be excluded.
  • Offers may have expiry dates or limited availability.
  • Promotional offers cannot normally be applied retrospectively to completed orders.

We reserve the right to correct obvious errors in promotional pricing or promotional information.

11. Prescription Processing

After receiving your order, we may review the prescription and order information before manufacturing your glasses.

If clarification is required, we may contact you using the contact details provided with your order.

Production may be delayed where we are waiting for:

  • Correct prescription information
  • PD or other measurements
  • Confirmation of frame or lens specifications
  • Additional information requested from you

Any resulting delay caused by missing or incorrect information supplied by the customer may affect the estimated delivery timeframe.

12. Delivery

We deliver to the locations and addresses supported by our website at the time of purchase.

Estimated delivery times will be communicated during checkout or in your order confirmation where applicable.

Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an order is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, additional delivery or redelivery costs may apply where permitted by law.

13. Delays Outside Our Control

We will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery and processing times.

However, delays may occur because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Courier or postal delays
  • Customs procedures
  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Strikes or industrial action
  • Government restrictions
  • Transport disruption
  • Technical failures
  • Supplier delays
  • Unexpected manufacturing issues
  • Other events beyond our reasonable control

Where a significant delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to keep affected customers informed.

Nothing in this section removes any statutory rights you may have.

14. Checking Your Order on Delivery

We recommend that you inspect your parcel as soon as possible after receiving it.

For damaged, broken, incorrect, or incomplete orders, please contact us promptly and provide photographs and, where available, an unboxing video.

We strongly recommend recording a continuous video while opening your parcel, beginning with the sealed package and continuing until the contents have been fully removed and inspected.

An unboxing video can provide useful supporting evidence when investigating delivery damage, missing items, incorrect products, or other order issues.

Please retain the original packaging until your issue has been resolved.

An unboxing video is recommended supporting evidence and does not remove or replace any statutory consumer rights.

15. Exchanges, Returns and Refunds

Our Exchange, Return & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.

Please refer to our Exchange, Return & Refund Policy for detailed information regarding:

  • Exchange requests
  • Returns
  • Damaged or broken products
  • Incorrect products
  • Incorrect prescriptions
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Refund eligibility
  • Return shipping
  • Replacement orders

Nothing in our return or refund procedures is intended to restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

16. Cancellation Rights

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you may have statutory cancellation rights under applicable consumer law. You may cancel your order within 24 hours after placing the order.

Certain goods may be excluded from the ordinary cancellation right where they are made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Prescription eyewear may fall within this category depending on how the product is made and the circumstances of the order.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, we will provide the information and cancellation procedure required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory cancellation right that applies to your purchase.

17. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal, delivery, prescription, and measurement information.
  • Review your order carefully before payment.
  • Provide a valid means of contacting you.
  • Respond promptly when we request information needed to process your order.
  • Use your eyewear appropriately and follow any professional guidance provided by your eye-care professional.
  • Notify us promptly if you identify an issue with your order.

Specsy.co is not responsible for problems caused solely by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable statutory rights.

18. Frame Selection and Fit

Customers are responsible for reviewing frame measurements and selecting a frame suitable for their preferences and needs.

Where available, frame measurements and product specifications are provided to help customers make an informed selection.

We cannot guarantee that a particular frame will feel or look exactly as expected based solely on photographs or measurements.

If you are unsure about frame size, fit, lens type, or prescription requirements, we recommend consulting a qualified optical professional before ordering.

25. Events Outside Our Control

We will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing our obligations where this results from an event beyond our reasonable control.

Where such an event occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise its effect and resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.

This section does not affect any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

26. Complaints

If you have a complaint about your order, product, delivery, service, or website experience, please contact us:

Please provide your order number and a clear description of the issue so that we can investigate it efficiently.

We aim to handle complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.

27. Changes to These Terms

  • Our products or services
  • Website functionality
  • Business operations
  • Applicable legal or regulatory requirements

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the customer's purchase and, where applicable, the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.

If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

29. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
